On the flu
We can tell from the words in this picture that everyone has the flu. Without the words though, how would we know if it a cold or the flu? We turn to WebMD for the answers. According to WebMD, the common cold, including chest cold and head cold, is caused by over 200 viruses. Seasonal flu is caused by either the influenza A or B viruses. Many doctors say that you will catch less colds as you get older because you can only catch each cold once. After that you are immune to the cold and will not catch it again. This does not appear to be true of the flu, which is short for influenza, as new varieties keep appearing. While the flu is more dangerous than colds, there is a vaccine. We highly recommend it. Vaccines may not be perfect and there may be occasional problems, but think of the many people who died every year from diseases before vaccines. Now, with vaccinations, very few people die.
